Portobello-RMF Engineering Ltd, one of the United Kingdoms most respected and long-established Company’s within the High Integrity Fabrication & Pressure Equipment Sectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Housley as Managing Director. Following on from previous Managing Director’s (Graham Avill) perspective, Jamie will continue to guide the Company through diverse industry sectors and maintain the reputation that Portobello-RMF upholds.
Jamie started his employment with Portobello-RMF over 16-years ago, progressing from the shop floor to more recently becoming Operations Director in 2020. Jamie had the following to say, ‘In what has been a challenging time for everyone throughout the past 2 years due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, I am excited and thankful to the Board of Trustees for offering me the opportunity to lead this great Company forward. The future for the Company is very positive and that wouldn’t be possible without every single member of the team at Portobello-RMF, and I am grateful for their continued support in my new role’.

Founded in 1933, Portobello-RMF has a long-standing history of manufacturing fabrications to the highest quality and safety standards. Portobello-RMF is also one of the few companies in the UK approved to Lloyds Rules for ships, Class 1. With this approval we are extremely honored to have served numerous Navy’s around the world by supplying the Pressure Hulls for the rescue submarines and other associated equipment. The highly specialised and precise systems can be designed to work at depths of up to 700m.
